  • Integrations Airflow Workflow Integration for orchestration. Teams & Outlook email activities (GA): streamline communication directly within pipelines.
  • Functions & Automation Fabric Functions + Function Activity (GA): embed and run reusable logic in pipelines. Dynamic content expression with Copilot: accelerate pipeline authoring using AI assistance.
  • Monitoring & Reliability Enhanced Pipeline Monitoring: now integrated with workspace-level monitoring for real-time performance and reliability insights.

Development & CI/CD

  • Fabric CLI is now open source.
  • Fabric CI/CD library open sourced – enables end-to-end DevOps integration.
  • All Fabric artefacts are fully supported with CI/CD.
  • Variable Library introduced – simplifies deployment workflows.

Data & Storage

  • One Lake storage for all data types (SQL databases, data warehouses, structured & unstructured files).
  • Materialized Views (MLV) now generally available with incremental refresh support.
  • Warehouse Migration Assistant GA – automatically migrates schemas & data into Fabric Data Warehouse with AI-based error fixing.
  • Graphs Database Service launched with a visual UX for graph queries (cards & tables).
  • Translytical Task Flows in public preview – blend transactional + analytical data; enables read/write back via Power BI.

Runtime & Performance

  • Microsoft Fabric Runtime 1.3 GA, includes: Apache Spark 3.5 OS: Mariner 2.0 Java 11, Scala 2.12.17, Python 3.11, R 4.4.1 Delta Lake 3.2

  • AI functions embedded in Data Wrangler tool.
