What is collected

Newsletter sign-ups

If you subscribe, the site stores your email address, the page you signed up from, the date, and the exact consent wording shown to you. That is the whole record: there is no name, no profile and no tracking of what you open. It is used only to send the newsletter.

Server logs

The hosting platform records ordinary request logs, which include IP addresses, so the site can be kept running and abuse can be spotted. These are kept for a short period and are not used to build a profile of you.

Cookies

Visitors are not given tracking cookies. Cookies are only set for people who sign in to the content management system, and for the admin theme preview. No advertising cookies are set. If analytics are added later, this notice will be updated first and you will be asked for consent before any non-essential cookie is set.

Legal basis

• Newsletter: your consent, given when you subscribe. You can withdraw it at any time.
• Server logs and security: legitimate interests in keeping the site available and secure.

How long it is kept

Newsletter records are kept until you unsubscribe or ask for removal, and are deleted within 30 days of that request. Server logs are kept for a short operational period and then discarded.

Who else sees it

The site runs on Microsoft Azure in the United Kingdom, which processes data on our behalf as the hosting provider. If an email delivery service is introduced for the newsletter, this notice will name it. Your data is never sold, and it is not shared with the vendors covered on this site.

Your rights

You can ask for a copy of your data, ask for it to be corrected or deleted, withdraw consent, or object to processing. Email admin@unifieddataplatform.com and it will be handled within one month. If you are not satisfied, you can complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
